IS IT SAFE TO TRAVEL TO MEXICO?

Concerning Medical Tourism Travel: absolutely safe. However for any traveler this is a good question and deserves a careful answer and some clear facts. In general Mexican people are very friendly, accepting and receptive to visitors, even going out of their way to help you. In resort areas like Puerto Vallarta, Chihuahua and Mexico City, authorities are hugely concerned with public safety. Resorts and medical facilities have good private security, you are safe in your resort or condo, and going out walking around and visiting public places. The negative news press about violent problems in Mexico is really just about world drug problems and gang interactions, mostly in other distant areas. This said: do use common safety sense like you would in your own city / town.

NONMEDICAL QUESTIONS ABOUT THE AREA. WHAT TO BRING / WHAT TO WEAR?

Know where you are traveling to, climate, temperatures, possibility of rain, etc. In general bring comfortable clothes and walking shoes. Puerto Vallarta’s weather is fresh in spring, summerlike in the fall winter months, and tropical warm humid in the summer. Chihuahua is cold in the winter and Mexico City is spring fresh always. Forgot something… don’t worry in any event most items can be purchased locally. General info on the area can be found in internet, but for specific questions just ask.
